Greetings from the Katch Katikati Office. The months go so fast, it only seems like yesterday that I was writing the April column.
We are in the final stretch of completing our database of business and community groups – only about 80 more phone calls and it will be over. Just under 600 organisations listed – what a great resource to be able to keep informed of what is happening in the community.
Our website is continually developing so please check it out for the latest business news, networking reviews, kids games, and upcoming events.
We have two networking functions available for the business community, BB8 our breakfast meeting which always has a guest speaker and BA5 our business after 5pm, hosted by local business owners. Numbers attending both sessions are increasing which is great to see. If you are interested in attending and do not currently receive information from us about them please contact me.
We have some exciting promotions planned for the next 18 months for the main street retailers and business sectors. I don’t want to let too much out of the bag but expect some good competitions, sparkling lights, glitz and glammer!
A lost pair of glasses, multiple wasp stings and even a fractured ankle did not dampen the spirits of 30 people who took advantage of the ECHO Walking Festival Ananui Falls walk. The walk which explored the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park included seven river crossings before reaching the Ananui Falls. The walk received great reviews from the group at the end of the day. A very big thanks needs to go to our main guide, Keith Pyle, and his assistants Madeline Pyle and Grant Micklejohn, without the help of these guides the walks would not be possible.
I have been looking back over some of the old columns that have been written and 99% of them ask you to please let us know of any events happening in the area. We are so often asked for a calendar of events and although ours is steadily growing I know that there is a lot more happening out there that we can be promoting for you. Please let us know!
